Houdini HDA for transmission towers. Distribute along a curve, control tower count, taper, cross arms, and cables from exposed parameters
Transmission Tower is a Houdini Digital Asset for procedurally building lattice steel power lines. Draw a curve, and the asset distributes towers along it and automatically generates the connecting cables between them.
Because the towers are curve-driven, the whole line follows your layout; reroute the curve, and everything rebuilds along the new path. The tower itself is controlled through its parameters rather than modeled by hand, so you can move from a squat distribution pole to a tall taper with a wide cross arm span without touching geometry. That makes it straightforward to populate a landscape with power lines that read as belonging to the same network while never looking identical.
Details: Built in Houdini 20.5.684 (Commercial) Tested in Unreal Engine 5.6 Takes a curve input defining the path of the line
Scope: This asset generates one style of lattice steel transmission tower with wide variation. It does not produce monopole, tubular, or guyed tower types, and does not include insulators or small hardware details.
